Requirements: Six years of professional certified service in the basic schools, three years in administration or supervision. The three years of administrative or supervision experience must be completed before certification endorsement will be granted.
Program Desc: The Superintendent Letter of Eligibility (SLE) program provides an opportunity for a graduate student to obtain certification in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a superintendent, assistant superintendent, supervisor of curriculum and instruction, supervisor of pupil personnel services, and elementary, middle, or secondary principal. This program combines a number of unique features not generally found in most superintendent certification programs. Modes of instruction utilized in the program include (1) core courses, (2) university seminars, and (3) business/industry/education partnerships. Instructors are drawn from the ranks of practicing school superintendents.
